The Low-Calorie Diet Vs. The Lemon Juice Diet

Millions of dieters manage to lose weight on 1200-calorie diet plans. These low-calorie diets offer a quick loss of four to seven pounds, often in just a day or two, and certain loss of even more weight as long as the diet is followed. The problem with low-calorie dieting is that as soon as you stop, the weight comes right back. This problem can be avoided with the lemon juice diet.

When I wrote this article, I supposed that many of my readers would read it because they have had difficulty reaching a healthy weight and maintaining it. The fact is, people go on all kinds of diets and usually enjoy some measure of success, at least for a while. What they do not have is a way of staying trim and healthy after they have lost a lot of weight by counting calories or avoiding calories. This problem can be avoided with the lemon juice diet.

This diet plan is not a low-calorie diet. No foods are absolutely prohibited when you diet with lemon juice, and only one food is absolutely required: Lemon juice! The real advantage of a lemon juicing plan, however, is the control of inflammation.

Nothing adds pounds faster than inflammation. Allergic reactions, reactions to environmental toxins, and food sensitivities all trigger protective reactions by the immune system that buffer and isolate affected tissues with fluid. In fatty tissue, the pro-inflammatory white blood cells called macrophages can accumulate so that these inflammation-makers weigh nearly as much as the fat itself.

Stopping inflammation allows excess weight to drain away. The amount can be less than you would lose on low-calorie diet. In my case, it was eight pounds over a few months. The amount can be more than you would lose on a low-calorie diet. In a few extreme cases, simply stopping inflammation with lemon was enough to cause a quick loss of 20 pounds. But the real advantage of the lemon juice diet is you feel better, lighter, and healthier fast and you keep on feeling good as long as you eat nutritious, balanced, filling meals and take your lemon juice every day.
